There are plenty of lovely places to eat out locally but if you are staying in one of our self catering cottages, you may need to get some food in and cook a meal or get a packed lunch together for the day. So we’ve put together a list of shops, both local businesses and supermarkets, that are closest to the farm.
We’ve listed the locally owned ones first, in no order at all. Please visit their websites to decide yourself if you fancy checking them out.
Local Community enterprise where you can buy local produce, open 7 days a week but pleae check their website for times. 6 mins drive, 3.2 miles.
The shop is open on Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays but please check their website for details. Again 10 minutes drive.
Don’t forget the milk! If you have, there is Beran Service Station garage about 5 minutes drive away.
By the quay in Caernarfon, there is an Asda and a Morrisons next to each other, 5.6 miles away, 10 mins. Family friendly, because they are next to the quay to take the children round.
If you want to go more upmarket, there is a Waitrose in Menai Bridge. Again family friendly, it is right next to the car park for the walk round the Belgium Promenade. 5.7 miles, 10 mins drive.
If you are down in Llanberis, the Spar is in the middle of town, 5.8 miles away, 11 minutes drive
The traditional 100 acre working farm rears suckler cows, a flock of the famous Welsh ‘Badger Faced’ sheep and poultry and is located between Llanberis and the historic town of Caernarfon.
The farmhouse stands in it’s own grounds with ample parking areas. Built circa 1740, the farmhouse has been beautifully renovated but still keeps it’s olde worlde charm. We are dog and pet friendlyTy Mawr Farm
